Dishonored 3: Theories and Discussions Posted: 06 Nov 2019 01:41 PM PST So, leaving aside the fact that Dishonored 3 will likely NOT be called Dishonored 3, since DotO is technically 3, as its the end of that trilogy, we will just be calling it D3 for now because we do not know what the title is yet. However, based on certain things I have read, I do think it is coming. ANd almost certainly, the continent of Pandyssia will be involved. Either that, or somewhere in the Northern Isles. However, here is the first question that will be asked. Void Powers? How will they get involved? DotO actually revealed two very critical things that should be noted. Actually, its even kind of shown in 2, but DotO makes it more apparent. And that is that magic existed BEFORE The Outsider. The Void was always there, and the Outsider was given to the void. In other words, they had to use magic, or something like that, to reach the void. Furthermore, Bonecharms are magic, but do not require the Outsider's Mark for one to use. And in DotO, we also see things that seemed to indicate there are other ways to connect to the void. If we consider the possibility that the Abbey, with their music boxes and "Oracle Sisters" are using magic as well, this further gives us the idea that Magic can be accessed without the Outsider. And so, what does that make The Outsider? Perhaps, a controller. A filter. Maybe even a seal. The mark is his name, his name gives them power. So if there is no name, that means there is no mark. Which means, perhaps, a mark is not needed to access void powers. That is my theory anyways, and thats how I think Void powers will work. Of course, I am sure there will be something stopping everyone from having void powers, aptitude maybe, but we will see as we go. ANd now, there is the concept of location. Although it cant be ruled out, the fact is that I remember it being hinted about something like "the time of the isles is over for Dishonored", so I think that Pandyssia is a likely target, so we likely wont be back in Dunwall. Goodbye Dunwall, we will never forget your blatant power abuse, cutthroating, betrayal, poor waste management, constant disrespect of good people, backstabbing, murdering, thinking that deathwalls are a great idea, and so on......on second thought, can we get out of here any faster? lol Anyways, back on topic, the exact location is a mystery. Likely, it will be a city, thats for sure. I think that we can expect new tools and weapons for sure, perhaps more Arcane constructions, while keeping the traditional Dishonored feel? I would say its possible we might get an automatic weapon or two, but I also suspect that it will be limited to something like a tommygun or such. I think we will likely see long rifles for sure (something I dont think we ever even saw in Dishonored Games), and maybe, even maybe....retro computers? Magic computers? I do think they will likely give us a lot of room to explore, to honor the start of a new story. There is also the theory that the main character will be The Outsider, but lets assume that is not hte case. As interesting as it might be since you could easily enter an original name for The Outsider. I also think that Whales will likely be involved. Yes, Whales. There was a mention of them "disappearing" that I remember, and that kind of stuck with me. Whales, which provide both the materials that power technology, but also power magic, are disappearing...it something that should be greatly considered. As for plot, at this point any speculation would be wild, so plot is not really something we can get into very far. As mentioned, Whales will probably be involved. But maybe, it will be something like you are blamed for the disappearance of multiple people, and then to clear your name, you have to work in the shadows and solve the mystery yourself? Its pure conjecture, but it would be cool I think. Well, that is everything I have for now that I can remember. What does everyone else have? [link] [comments]

Is this not Barrister Arnold Timsh? Posted: 06 Nov 2019 10:10 AM PST https://youtu.be/VeIn3WjbVbw?t=213 For one, the hairstyle and facial features are very reminiscent of the Barrister's. Couple that with the fact that in the DLCs, the Barrister said "Daud? Killing me won't solve anything." This leads me to believe that Arnold Timsh was a character created early on but was cut from the first main game. [link] [comments]

What did I do wrong on the Boyle mission? Posted: 05 Nov 2019 09:31 PM PST I went upstairs (undetected), got the information about which of the Boyle sisters I needed to kill or non-lethally hide in the basement, and then I snuck back downstairs through the corner stairwell. I talked with a few guests and guards, no-one was raising a fuss. Then, the moment one of the Boyle sisters saw me, everyone immediately started attacking me. What on earth did I do wrong? When multiple choices are not enough... Posted: 06 Nov 2019 08:16 AM PST One of the many (MANY) flaws of the Dishonored games is that sometimes you have only two opposite choices to make when it makes sense or is more appropriate to choose a third option. When Meagan reveals to you her secret you can choose to forgive her or call her a monster but it would be more appropriate to say nothing because you can't forgive what she did but didn't want to further hurt her feeling.
