Ultimate Spreadsheet of all Dishonored content

    Posted: 27 Feb 2022 08:38 AM PST

I created an archive of all Dishonored content, which is (I hope) as complete and precise as possible.

It features every official game, book and item, as well as extra content provided by various people, websites and documentaries.

Feel free to indicate any errors or missing elements, since I spent two whole days working on this, I might have missed something due to fried brain.

Navigate through tabs at the bottom of the page. Every underlined word provides an hyperlink to said content when you click on it.

Just finished dishonored 2. Put Delilah in the painting and did mostly neutral runs but wasn’t very stealthy, which just means I fought everyone but didn’t kill anyone

Dishonored 2 was going alright with mid-low resolution - until I got to Addermire.

This level is almost, if not completely, unplayable.. no matter what settings I put my game/computer on. I have a pretty good gaming computer, by no means top of the line but definitely not some 20 year old outdated computer (at least I think, I'm not too versed in that knowledge but I know this one has always done well) - I'll put specs below. I want to play this game, but even if I switch every setting on my game to the lowest or optimized for performance vs appearance it still runs choppy and slow. On this level, the settings don't even seem to change the performance at all. Ultra runs essentially the same as Low. First time I've ever encountered a game doing this on my computer. Had two times now where I've booted up the game and gave up almost immediately due to the performance.

    Specs:

    Model - Alienware 15 R3

    Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

RAM - Total Physical Memory : 31.9 GB, Available Physical Memory: 24.5 GB, Total Virtual Memory : 36.6 GB, Available Virtual Memory : 26.7 GB

[Dishonored 2] The game randomly decides to block immediately after loading a save or exiting from menus ?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2022 02:04 AM PST

Pretty much title. Sometimes the game automatically blocks after exiting menus and loading into saves. Sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't fix itself, but I've had some moments where it didn't have this issue when booting up. Can't realize what's doing it and Google doesn't bring anything up about it. Any ideas ?

Discussion of the outsider's voice in D2

    Posted: 25 Feb 2022 09:53 PM PST

Just wanted to talk about the Outsider's voice in Dishonored 2. I actually love Robin Taylor's rendition and realise the reason I hated the new variant of his voice at launch was entirely due to the weird echoey whisper effect that was added in-game. I know this now because in the first trailer back in 2015, I didn't even notice there was a new actor because the voice was completely "unecho-ey" (for reference). The moment I realised I didn't like it, without realising what was causing me to suddenly not like it, was the echo effect we all experienced listening to him for the first time in-game. I wish it was removed or better yet toned down because a part of me wishes I could hear more of what we got in that initial E3 trailer rather than what we got. Does anyone wish that there was an option in D2 to remove the effect?

To finish this, does anyone with knowledge of delving into game files know if there's a separate layer that might allow me to remove it, other than that, what are your opinions of his voice? Did you love it immediately? Hate it? Not even notice? What was your reaction when you first heard the echoey nature of the voice for the first time? And does anyone know why they made it have that "echoey whispery" effect in the first place? Would love to hear people's thoughts on it.
