    Interesting question (Potential spoiler alert)

    In Death of the Outsider for the alternative ending where you can free the Outsider instead of killing him, what do you suppose he does with the rest of his life? I find it funny to think about him getting a job after everything he has seen. Plus, does he have any magic/magical knowledge? What about the knowledge he garnered about the people he observed out in the world while he was the Outsider? Do you think he would use that to his advantage? Post what you guys think below.

    (Vinland Saga Spoilers) What happens in this anime, I wish I could do it with an Emily playthrough

    I know it would be a lot of additional voice acting and programming but, pipe dream here, I wish I could have the option during an Emily playthrough to just proclaim, "bow down before the true Empress!" and maybe even have that affect hostiles in certain ways, like specific lines and causing maybe some to flee or even possibly turn on other hostiles. It would definitely be fun to just take off the disguise.

    **Spoilers for all games, up to and including DOTO** -> Was everything all a gambit on the Outsider's part?

    Herein will be spoilers for all games. I'll tag any major plot points. I'm also assuming the canon of the games to be Low Chaos, with the player characters being Corvo, Daud, Emily and Billiespoiler.

    Two things led me to come up with this idea. In D1, the Outsider says that he only appears and grants his mark to those he finds 'interesting'. In the Knife of Dunwall, he mentions to Daud that there are only eight people with His mark (Daud included, though this is just prior to Corvo getting it). After the games, there are a further three, taking the total to 11.

    I found it odd that of those 11, nearly half (Daud, Corvo, Emily, Billie and Delilah) are closely linked to one another. Sure, they all have a profound effect on the world around them, but for some of them, it's only due to the actions of another member of that list that they even need the Outsider's assistance.

    So, my theory is this. The Outsider was playing the long game, granting each of those people his mark, spoiler.

    The whole sequence of events leading to Billie and Daud being in the positions they're in at the beginning of DOTO can be traced back to Daud and Delilah being given the Outsider's mark. What those two do with this power leads to the first game (main and DLC), which themselves spark off the second game.

    Question about paintings and important collectables

    Are paintings and other collectables counted the moment you pick them up or only when you finish the mission? I ask because I missed the paintings in mission 1 and want to obtain them without having to replay the whole mission.

    If I load to a convenient check-point, pick up the paintings, then quit the mission, would those paintings remain on my stats?
