So how bad/evil is the Abbey of the Everyman really?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 04:26 PM PDT

Because we've seen throughout every game that the Abbey is capable of both good acts and staggeringly evil ones, but the main reason for me asking this was that one level from Death of the Outsider, with the music.

What track plays when you are in Corvo's room in Dishonored 1?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 02:12 PM PDT

I really enjoy ambiance videos but have not found any that actually take place in Corvo's room in the Hound Pits Pub. So I figured the actual music was the next best thing, but I've looked through the soundtrack and haven't found anything, and I've even been through two huge gamerips and nothing. You can hear what I'm talking about in the last 10 seconds of this video.

So does anyone by chance know where I can find this?

Finishing a no kills, no powers, and no detections playthrough in one go is one of my proudest gaming accomplishments.

Did anyone else find the Non-Lethal eliminations more brutal than the Lethal ones in the first game?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 05:29 PM PDT

I recently decided to replay Dishonored and decided to go for a pacifist run as it was something that I was interested in but never committed to it. Along the way I realized that some of the non-lethal options might be worse than just killing them. Like for the Pendelton Twins you're essentially turning them into slaves who cannot talk and are forced to mine until they die. Then for Lady Boyle it seems like the man in the rat costume is just going to turn her into a sex slave from his diologue. Just curious if anyone else had the same reaction.

    Aliasing issues.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 03:57 PM PDT

This is a repost of a Steam discussion I created. I hope I can get some answers here, at least.

Hi all, I made a post earlier saying the same thing, but I didn't provide a whole lot of information, so I'm going to start over and provide useful info. Anyways:

I recently upgraded from my laptop (i5 6300q, GTX 1050, 8gb RAM) to my new desktop (i7 9700k, RTX 2070, 16gb RAM), and I wanted to try Dishonored at the new framerates I'm getting with my 165hz 1080p monitor. However, upon booting it up for the first time, I found major issues with aliasing and flickering. Anti-aliasing seems to be nonexistent in comparison to what I got on my laptop. It's not installed there anymore, so I can't really get comparison pics, but here's what I'm seeing now:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2147772540 On the roof, mostly on the left. If flickered a lot whenever I moved my camera.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2147773144 The cables on the ships looked like pixel art lines instead of, well, cables. They also flickered when moving my camera.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2147773227 Mostly visible on the stairs, but there was major flickering on the gate on the left as well. The gate at the right, when viewed from far away, flickered the worst of all.

I started by just playing the game normally. I went into the DishonoredEngine.ini file to change the max body count and shadow resolution, which helped. But then the aliasing issues started. I eventually followed this guide here: https://segmentnext.com/2012/10/10/dishonored-pc-tweaks-guide-graphics-and-performance/ which seemed fairly in-depth and consistent with the research I did. However, these changes, neither to the .ini's nor with Nvidia Inspector, helped. I'm a bit at a loss here, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, and feel free to ask for any info I may have left out.

Who voices Thomas/various Whalers in Dishonored?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 07:45 AM PDT

Just asking because it sounds like Jason Marsden, which I think is really cool because he's also Haku in Spirited Away.

What are the "stories" about Corvo before the events of Dishonored?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 05:48 AM PDT

Before the death of the empress and all that stealth and mask thing, it is stated by some NPCs that Corvo was some sort of high-level fighter but I couldn't find any details besides being able to take down three men alone.

Also I'm replaying the game right now and as soon as you enter the Pit's Pub a loyalist says "You've heard the stories".

Please no spoilers of other games besides the first one

Who do you think are more morally correct the overseers or howlers

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 01:35 PM PDT

I prefer the overseers because they have laws while howlers kill people they dont like

    First thoughts of D1

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 01:06 PM PDT

My first thoughts of dishonored 1 are pretty good. It has a very dark and foreboding atmosphere especially in a time of the rat plague. The combat is slightly more interactive in a few aspects but overall the same. The gore is much better than D2 imho. Room for creativity is a all time high (as per usual). I like how everything unfolds all at once story wise as we get to experience how we can't process everything going at once like corvo at first. Stealth is a much greater asset in this than 2,I feel the difficulty is also much harder. Overall im just enjoying the experience so far especially the darker tone of the game.

How can you complete this game as unseen?

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 08:48 PM PDT

Seriously I just completed Dishonored + DLCs and now I want to replay again as a ghost with no kills at all, but how? I tried to be as stealthy as I could but I always got caught. And that's on average difficulty.

    How do you do that?

I'm talking about Dishonored 1 btw
