    Dishonored 1 Survivor | Round 7

    Posted: 22 Dec 2020 12:51 PM PST

House of Pleasure has been eliminated! It went from receiving no votes in the first two rounds to being eliminated in round 6, very interesting. I have to say I'm not too surprised at this, having just replayed House of Pleasure it just doesn't stand up to the other three missions, despite still being good. I liked the different ways to eliminate the targets, there is some variation in lethal based on where the Pendletons are in the Golden Cat, and the non-lethal is probably one of the more unique ones as you don't have to do anything to them personally, you can totally ignore them in fact. But I would agree with the majority of the comments that compared to Holger Square, the Golden Cat setting just feels inferior.

I'm really interested to see where this goes next, each of the remaining missions feels very different. High Overseer Campbell is just a classic Dishonored mission with brilliant atmosphere, locations, encounters, characters, hidden details - it really does feel like the perfect mission to start using our powers. Lady Boyle's Last Party is very unique in that you're 'hiding in plain sight' with what the nobles think is a scandalous costume, and although very samey on subsequent playthroughs it's fun to work out which Boyle is which by doing a bit of detective work. Return to the Tower is just epic as the culmination of all of your work, and really does feel like a gauntlet working your way to the Lord Regent's panic room and killing him despite all his safety measures. I'd be happy with any as a winner honestly, but I do have an obvious choice for this round personally.

    Which will it be next?

    VOTE HERE

    How it works:

Each round, you vote for your LEAST favorite Dishonored mission from the options available. After 48 hours I'll close voting, and eliminate the most voted mission, then we'll go again with the remaining 8 missions, voting for least favorite each time, until only 1 remains and is crowned the community's favorite mission in Dishonored 1.

    Missions still standing:

    • High Overseer Campbell
    • Lady Boyle's Last Party
    • Return to the Tower

    Eliminated missions:

    • The Flooded District, 22.8%
    • The Loyalists, 43.8%
    • Dishonored, 39.6%
    • The Royal Physician, 40%
    • The Light at the End, 38.1%
    • House of Pleasure, 46.2%

    100% achievements in D1

    100% achievements in D1

Finally I've managed to get every achievement in Dishonored 1 on Steam.

    https://preview.redd.it/yfb4yt16nt661.png?width=1896&format=png&auto=webp&s=d198def20e69b04ea24810a5cdda32cd4dfe10be

Holy fuck Dunwall city trial must be one of the most stupid shit I have ever seen.

Even if you don't take into account the achievement, the trials themselves are inherently flawed because they reward randomness. What's the point of a scoring system if the same strategy leads to different score just because of luck?

For example in the trial where you need to gather clues to identify your target and then killing them, there is a score multiplier if you don't gather all the clues, but in that case, you can't be sure if you're gonna kill the right target. This is just conducive to playing brainlessly over and over until you're lucky enough to kill the target with 3 or even only 2 clues.

And you can look at every trials and find stuff like that.

PS: Thank the Outsider the glitch in expert bonfire where the assassins don't spawn is still there.

Silly question - anyone know who this fellow above Meagan's bed on the Dreadful Wale is?

    Lonely rat boy

    Posted: 22 Dec 2020 07:04 AM PST

After the end of the outsider it would make sense someone would take his place in the third game (if it even comes out) and watching tales of dunwall makes me tell myself what if the lonely rat boy was the new outsider? They both have the same backstory too. They both got abused by people of power and lived in fear, but also idk im not sure if it could be possible, maybe I am missing something from the lore

Any idea why this keeps happening? It's getting annoying.
