I would absolutely love to play an open world game set in Dunwall

I'm replaying the first game after a several year break. It's my favourite game of all time. Side note, how well has this game held up after 8 years.

When playing I just get this absolute urge to explore the whole of Dunwall from one side to another.

Like I'd love to see the whole city as a game and all the outskirts and underbelly.

Standing at the top of Kaldwin Bridge and seeing all the places you visit throughout the game spread out is just incredible to see. Imagine being able to traverse and free roam through the city. Sort of like the later Assassin's Creed games.

The style and art is so unique as well as the way the city is designed that it just begs to be explored.

Imagine an open world game set before Dishonored where your character arrives and chooses their path. You get to see Dunwall at its peak. Kaldwin's bridge bustling and full of aristocrats. The Distillery district as a hub of industry with overseers spreading their message across the city.

The area around the Boyle mansion filled with life with aristocrats vying for social favour with elaborate balls.

Getting to see the hound pits pub before it was abandoned and the surrounding areas.

Then the Plague starts, and your character has to make harder choices about how they will sustain their life in Dunwall.

The population begins to thin, people start to leave the city. The whaling ships on the sea become less and less frequent. You notice the first wall of light be erected.

Suddenly doors and windows that were once open and inviting suddenly are shut off from the world. The pockets of normal life suddenly become exclusive to the rich and famous who have taken solace behind the elaborate walls of their estates.

Gangs begin to expand their territory and the city that once you could walk freely between becomes hostile and territorial.

Supernatural occurrences become more frequent as people turn to foreign gods and the Overseers start to rule with an iron fist.

God I'd give anything to play a game like that.

Saw this portrait hidden away at my university. It had a bit of a Serkonos abbey vibe. If Daud were an overseer.

Experienced an odd glitch while playing Knife of Dunwall's First Mission. Walking far enough away from the point where I start in this video would automatically spawn two dead bodies and a group of alerted guards.

What did the Scottish Guardsman say when Dunwall technology seemed to fail mysteriously?

    "Whale oil be damned!"

(It's 5am and I just woke up after 2 hours of sleep, this might not be a very coherent joke, but I suddenly thought of it, and felt like I needed to put it somewhere. Do delete if it isn't the right space.)

Finally got all the Dishonored Achievements today. Didn't enjoy DOTO as much as I was hoping for. Plan to do an "Immersive playthrough", New game, hardest difficulty, no hud, and read everything. Fantastic series.

If a Dishonored three ever gets made what kind of new powers do you want them to add?

Also what kind of mechanical items could they introduce that add something new to the series aswell as fit lore wise?
