My brother's friend was playing Dishonored 2 for the first time and he asked him how to get through Clockwork Mansion because he was finding it really hard. Turns out he didn't take the powers at the start of the game for the greatest possible reason.

Saw someone made a Dishonored themed phone on here, so I made my own!!

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 09:03 AM PDT

What do you think is the most interesting and thought provoking line of dialogue in the Dishonored Series?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 06:29 AM PDT

    For me:

Daud: "Forgiveness is a rare thing in this world Billie, you're better than I was"

This line from Daud sounded like he regretted the life he had and planned to atone for it by setting things right for himself

By the way, any of the characters or the game's lore that makes it worthwhile for you

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 03:54 PM PDT

Just as simple as that. They seem friendly but if the outsider became human again would they be friends??

    Dunwall treasury numbered gold bullion?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 08:26 AM PDT

Does anyone know the significance, if any, of the number on one of the large gold bullion bars in Emily's safe room in Dunwall Tower in DH2?

Mine is 1740260280018. Wondering if maybe its a seed or just a mystery or something else.

    Dishonored 1 Playstyles/Builds

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 11:23 PM PDT

Playstyle 1: Corvo The Royal Protector

    AKA a Canonical Playstyle

Way to play: Use your powers to sneak through most of the time. Times to fight/kill are when discovered, an innocent life is in danger(The Overseer and his sister being attacked by zealots for example), or stated to be canonical(Kill the Torturer, Side with Slackjaw and kill Granny Rags, Slice Havelock's throat from behind, and kill The Pendleton Brothers. The Golden Cat is a slaughter I believe) or run away if you've completed the job. Deal with Campbell, Lady Boyle, Burrows, and Daud Non-lethally. Play Hide and Seek with Emily, recover your gear, don't poison the distillery, etc.

    Powers: 38/39 Runes Needed

    • Agility: Level 1 and 2(5 Runes)
    • Bend Time: Level 1 and 2(10 Runes)
    • Blink: Level 1 and 2(3 Runes)
    • Blood Thirsty: Level 1(2 Runes)
    • Devouring Swarm: Level 1(3 Runes)
    • Dark Vision: Level 1-2(3 Runes)
    • Possession: Level 1(3 Runes)
    • Vitality: Level 1-2(4 Runes)
    • Whirlwind: Level 1(3 Rune)

Bone charms: You can choose any you want, it doesn't matter, my personal choices are

    • Void Channel - 20% increased duration for powers, increased range for Blink and Windblast.
    • Blood Ox Heart - 20% increase to maximum mana.
    • Tough Skin - 15% increase to maximum health.
    • Strong Arms - Faster choking speed.
    • Whirlwind II - Swing speed for swords is moderately faster.
    • Swift Shadow - Increased movement speed in stealth mode.
    • Backstreet Butcher: Fencer - Advantage in sword vs. sword combat.
    • Spiritual Pool - Slightly faster mana regeneration.
    • Unnerving Target II - Enemies have a moderate chance to miss with guns.
    • Falling Star - Drop assassinating recharges mana by 20%.

    Upgrades:

    • The only ones truly Canonical are the Mask Optics and Pistol Upgrade, but grab extra Bonecharm Slots so you can have 10. I'd also upgrade the Crossbow fully + Improved Armor + Boot Stealth Upgrades

    Playstyle 2: Corvo the Slaughterer

AKA an Absolute Chaos Assault Playstyle

Way to Play: Kill absolutely everyone, everything, whenever possible. Violence was the question and Genocide is the answer. Fuck stealth and fuck anybody who's in your way, they're dying.

    Playstyle 3: Corvo the Ghost

AKA a Non-Lethal Ghost Playstyle, as expected in the title.

Way to Play: Move with the shadows, stay out of sight, and never detected. Kill no one and minimalize knockouts and sleep darts as much as possible, keep the unconscious bodies hidden if needed. Non-lethally take care of the targets and leave Daud completely clueless.

    • Combat Sleep Dart
    • Bone Charm Slot Upgrades
    • Mask Optic Upgrade
    • Boot Stealth Upgrades

    Playstyle 4: Corvo the Mage

    AKA a Powers Only Build

Way to Play: No use of your sword, gun, crossbow, etc, will be needed, this is strictly Supernatural Powers. It is up to you how chaotic and lethal this build is. Become unnoticeable using Bend Time and Possession, aided with Darkvision to see your enemies' movements, or become a God of destruction, annihilating your foes with Devouring Swarm and Windblast, the choice is yours.

    Powers: 38/39 Runes Needed

    • Blink: Level 1-2(3 Runes)
    • Bend Time: Level 1-2(10 Runes)

    • Bonecharm Slot Upgrades
    • Improved Armor
    • Boot Stealth Upgrade if you wish

    Playstyle 5: Corvo the Swordmaster

    AKA The Sword Only Build

Way to Play: While other Corvos were summoning nasty swarms of rats and zip zap hip hoppiting around the place and trying to get with Callista in the bath, this Corvo has studied the way of the blade and become an even deadlier whirlwind of pain than he had been before. No use of the crossbow or gun, minimal blink uses, but enhancements and bone charms will be allowed. Likely to be High Chaos but maybe not.

    AKA a Stealth Lethal Build

Way to play: You are on a mission to kill someone, kill only that person if able, and never be seen having done it. If forced to kill others, hide their body someplace no one could find(like a dumpster...) or use the ability of Shadow Kill. If you can cause them to be deceased with it looking like an accident or the work of someone else besides you, you've done a perfect job.

    Powers: 31/39 Runes Needed

    • Agility: Levels 1-2(5 Runes)
    • Blink: Levels 1-2(3 Runes)
    • Bend Time: Level 1-2(10 Runes)

How do you think the Isles got humans?

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 11:15 PM PDT

A few off the top of my head:

    • A land bridge that is now submerged (ala the real-world Bering Strait Land Bridge). Humans cross the land bridge from Pandyssia during the pre-historia. Of course, that would need to imply an Ice Age or some other event that would result in a lower ocean levels.
    • A cataclysmic event split of a chunk of Pandyssia that proceeded to drift westward.
      • A cataclysmic event sank a second continent. The Isles are all that is left.
    • A Pandyssian civilization exiled a portion of its population to the Isles and gave all of the "colonists" amnesia.
      • Otherworldly forces teleported humans to the Isles... and gave them amnesia.
