Posted: 30 Sep 2021 06:09 PM PDT I haven't played a lot of single player games, I spent most of my time on popular multiplayer games for a long time. Got a series x and thanks to gamepass I've been playing a LOT of games I have missed out on, hollow knight, hellblade, plaguetale, all of them awesome games. Got rdr2 recently and been playing that for about 10 days, I have around 30 hours on it so far I think. Wanted something fun to play when I'm not in the mood for rdr, and thought I'd try dishonored definitive edition, mostly because I wanted to see why people praise arkane so much, especially with them releasing deathloop recently. Out of all the games I've played the past 3 months, which almost all of them are widely considered very good games, dishonored is the most fun I've had. I've been putting rdr2 on the side to play dishonored now, and you all probably already know how insanely good rdr2 is. I only wish dishonored 2 will be as good as the one I'm playing now, the only down side is, I didn't care much about not being able to play deathloop before, I wouldn't mind waiting a year, but now that I know what I'm probably missing out on, I'm pretty salty. Dishonored: Blind Justice Challenge Results Posted: 01 Oct 2021 03:37 PM PDT Hello! A little over a week ago I posted about what I call the Blind Justice Challenge, where, in Dishonored, Corvo must kill bad people and/or those who are threats to innocents. This means the deaths of all targets, all regular npcs with scripted bad deeds, and weepers, as weepers are basically wild animals who will kill the uninfected. For each mission, I kept a tally of who I killed. Escape from Coldridge/Sewers - 0 High Overseer Campbell mission: 5 Gang members, 2 overseers. Campbell was branded because he can be killed later. The distillery was not infected. Running Total: 7 Golden Cat: 7 weepers (includes 2 killed in pre-mission), 3 whalers, Morgan and Custis Pendleton, and Madame Prudence. Running Total: 20 Sokolov Kidnapping: 3 gang members, 1 officer, the Mad Survivor. Running Total: 25 The Boyle Party: 10 weepers, Lord Shaw (willing and customary), Lady Esma Boyle. Running Total: 37 Lord Regent Mission: The Torturer, Hiram Burrows. Running Total: 39 Flooded District: 25 Whalers, 27 Weepers, Weeper Campbell, Daud, Granny Rags. Running Total: 94 Return To Hound Pits: 0 Final: Martin, Pendleton, Havelock. Emily Saved. Running Total: 97. So, how did this affect chaos? Surprisingly, chaos remained low until the end of the Flooded District (as I had to kill almost every npc). It could not be brought down to save Callista, Lydia, and Wallace. It was not incredibly high, however, as though Samuel criticized Corvo, he did not fire off a shot. I would say that it should be possible to remain in low chaos throughout the game if Weepers are exempted from the rule. Sparing all weepers would bring the total number down from 97 to 52. Almost half of all kills were weepers. Keep in mind that changing this rule requires Campbell to die in his mission, not as a weeper. [link] [comments]
Does the definitive edition still have issues on Ps4? Posted: 01 Oct 2021 06:23 AM PDT I remember a few years back when the definitive edition dropped on Ps4 people were reporting technical issues. I'd that still the case for ps4? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Oct 2021 11:41 AM PDT Going to be running the tabletop soon and I was wondering if anyone knew of some good dishonored flavor minis. I know they're not needed, but I like having them for reference. And to look cool but that's a given [link] [comments]
Dialogue timing in Dishonored 2 Posted: 01 Oct 2021 11:35 AM PDT Has anybody else noticed some of the beats of speech are kind of stilted in Dishonored 2? It seems like the performances are delivered naturally, but to cut time the editors spliced out the pauses. Characters tend to jump from the end of one sentence, to the start of the next almost immediately. Just me? [link] [comments]
Can anyone give me any tips for a high chaos run? Posted: 01 Oct 2021 07:42 AM PDT I really wanted to know some tips or advice for killing guards with combos being done in quick succession and the like? [link] [comments]
Things ive noticed from playing dishonored 1 and 2 Posted: 30 Sep 2021 08:58 PM PDT Ive played dishonored 1 and 2 (I dont like DOTO) and here are some details ive noticed. Lets start with a sort of well known facts If you brand Campbell with the Heretic's Brand on Mission 2 on Mission 6 you will find him attacking you as a weeper when you go get your gear which is pretty cool attention to detail (Btw fun fact he will only attack you if you get noticed by him so uh end his life so he can rest peacefully) The canonical ending for dishonored 1 is the low chaos ending I found this on reddit Callista managed to escape the Hound Pits from mission 7 and disappeared on a trip Since the Canonical Ending of Dishonored 1 is low chaos Samuel Died of old age Pietro died of brain disease Idk if this could be considered a detail or if its just what I see But if you select Emily the pistol you get is new and shiny but When you choose Corvo it is sort of old this one is already well known but Far Reach is like a rope from uncharted or a grappling hook from Batman Arkham Series and will carry momentum This one is so weird but makes sense gameplay wise but realistically? how also you probably know this already if you play as emily when you get the pistol you get a telescope if you play as corvo you get his mask excuse me who put the telescope and removed the mask? The Crown Killer And Daud Is the only few enemies who cant be put to sleep with a sleep dart If you havent watched the trailers for Dishonored 2 You Can possess Bloodfly as Corvo In order to get a headshot with crossbow aim for the head with a range upgrade it should remove their head I htink you can decapitate them (oh yeah thats the word) if you aim at their neck This one is really funny and destroys physics if you posess anyone you can possess before you fall to the ground you can negate all fall damage or drop takedown because lets all be honest human bodies is a cushion am I right? lets have some gameplay fun facts then Far Reach Has An Annoying Cooldown So be careful you might fail some amazing parkour Did you know that domino makes it so they all suffer the same fate? but turns out before knocking them out before chocking they dont feel anything fun fact if you are in a lightpost or anything high like a chandelier domino 2 or 3 or 4 peole and far pull one of them all of them will be pulled lol the easiest way to kill the Crown Killer is by shooting her with a crossbow bolt of any kind and then silent kill here or drop takedown and then say byebye to her If you play the audiograph that tell you where sokolov is at mission 3 of dishonored if you press play you can leave if you know the way because the game registers it as a done so this is pretty good way for speedrunners its gonna get a bit technical for this fact Normally when you launch an app on your pc they have priority priority over your resources(Vram,Ram,Threads,Cpu Cores) normally they are set to normal but with dishonored 2 it somehow automatically sets itself to low which explains why bad performance using process hacker 2 set it to high and then boom 50-100% performance improvement this works with other games too killing 1-2 guards does not make your game high chaos so as long as you dont kill a third youre pretty good also unless youre going for clean hands you can kill your targets and still get low chaos for the last mission I found this interesting detail If you have low chaos Martin and Pendelton would die of poisoning by the dude and he would drink wine and reflect on everything With high chaos Martin would be on the low ground? and there would be a hole in the wall where you can find a guard and a infected pendleton and the dude would be at and edge and trying to kill emily Emily dialogue would also differ if low chaos Emily would be sweet If High Chaos Emily would be a bit brutal Samuel would also fire a flare on the last mission if you have high chaos which would alert them of your presence if youre on low chaos he would praise you for not losing track of the path and on the ending slides all of your allies would be drinking with you at the Hound Pits Back to some facts Emily is slightly faster than Corvo Corvo And Emily both has different sort of mindsets Corvo already faced something like the events from dishonored 2 so you can say hes slightly chill and he knows shit is going down Emily on the other hand feels slightly shaken The outsider dialogue also slightly differs When you get the mark as Corvo he will say Corvo Old Friend You lost another Empress and so on and if you are Emily The outsider would introduce himself as Corvo's Friend from the old times and when you get the rune as corvo He would say "Delilah once slit a man's thoat for a pair of shoes and painted some paintings all in the smae yar"(not accurate dialogues) and if youre emily He will say "Delilah Is Something Else"(again not accurate) Out of all the things you could buy immediately from the black market the rewire can be bought on mission 4 and its only one item Dishonored 2 has more of a action horror game than Dishonored which has action thriller genre to it Corvo and Emily Slightly Shouts when you fall into water from a high place it sounds slightly distorted because they are in the water thats all I found for now since I havent completed dishonored 2 yet [link] [comments]

Is the game significantly harder on console ? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 05:58 PM PDT I've been playing Dishonored for a long time on my pc but it broke down recently, and it'd take some time for me to build a new one so I'm considering buying the game on my console. I've never played any first-person game with a controller before, is it considerably harder to play with a controller ? Should I buy the game on my console or should I wait until I'd be able to build a new pc ? [link] [comments]
