Why wasn’t the powerful arc pylon used in D2? [Spoilers] Posted: 28 Oct 2021 05:14 AM PDT I'm talking about the arc pylon at the end of the first game which requires 3 whale oil tanks. Sokolov even talks about how this invention will keep the empire safe. If they had one of these in Dunwall tower, the coup could have been dealt with in an instant. So why aren't there any of them? Anyone notice how serkonos is pronounced differently in gristol? Posted: 28 Oct 2021 03:31 AM PDT I noticed something weird, in the first and second game, the guards from dunwall seem to pronounce serkonos more like ser-ken-os while people actually from serkonos pronounce it correctly. If that was an intentional detail and not a voice flub that's really cool. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Oct 2021 12:27 PM PDT I recently bought 1 & 2 on Steam sale. I LOVE stealth, trying to figure out a mission, observing paths and patterns, trying to be as non lethal as possible, ghost runs, quick reactions to avoid getting spotted etc. But I DO NOT enjoy First person games, the lack of space awareness, the POv feels oppresive and offuscating rather than immersive, as most people tend to feel it, and I just feel like a floating camera with little to compensate for the sensory lack and tbh I never saw the point of a FP stealth game for all those reasons. But this game was always praised to high heaven, and hey a good game is a good game and I can get over the FP POV if it keeps me hooked. I decided to give it a shot. So I started and my worst fears became true, it's not going well. Keep getting spotted and frustrated, I don't know where enemies are, where can I get and if they can/can't see me where I am. I run away and it's hard to hide because suddenly there's a swarm coming from every place and they know where you are no matter where you go. I know this is a great game and want to like it, I love its systemic approach and freedom and player expression but god why first person. So yeah any tips welcome. [link] [comments]

Whats your least favorite level in each of the games? Posted: 28 Oct 2021 05:16 PM PDT My least favorite level in the first game has to be the house of pleasure since when i was trying to get the ghost achievement after 3 hours of finding my way around all the guards i ended up getting seen once and had to do all of it over again. In dishonered 2 its the level you have to do that stupid puzzle in do i even need to explain why. In doto its the last mission since its so unclear where you have to go and then for the ending to be a cutscene [link] [comments]
DLC in Dishonored 1 for PS Now? Posted: 28 Oct 2021 12:05 PM PDT Heya guys, new here so sorry if this breaks any rules! I've been playing the PS Now version of the first Dishonored, and am just now realizing that I might be missing out on the DLC. Anyone know if its included? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Oct 2021 06:29 PM PDT The tanka is the big brother of the haiku. It has five lines of seven syllables in a pattern of 5-7-5, 7-7. A tanka should contain references to two related famous poems, one within its first three lines and one within the concluding pair. Let's be creative and artsy before the usual evening gathering for whiskey and cigars! I'll go first, with my two references. I watch walls of light [link] [comments]
