Dishonored 2 - Do kills done by rewired clockwork soldiers count as my kills?

I rewired a soldier and it went on a rampage, killing about 6 guards but I want to do the no kill on every mission. Do those kills count as mine?

Billie Lurk (DotO) should have had Granny Rags' left hand. (and power thoughts)

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:13 PM PDT

A bit late and IIRC others have posted about it before but still, I was just thinking about it again.

    • All the other characters we play as have the Outsider's Mark on their left hand.
    • Billie Lurk was missing one of her hands.
    • Granny Rags's left hand just so happened to be around, still has magic, and still has the Mark.
    • Billie happened to be at the same level where Granny's hand gets found.
    • The Outsider later just randomly gives Billie a magic left arm/hand anyway because ... ???
    • The idea with Billie is she collected a handful of magic items rather than having her own Mark.
    • Granny could talk to rats, Billie has an amulet that lets her talk to rats.
    • Granny crafted bone charms and runes, Billie gets the knife to craft bone charms and runes.

    > Canonically, Outsider is going to replace Billie's arm and give her powers anyway. Why not just do so through pre-established variables. Why not keep the consistency of having a Mark on PC's left hand when the perfect opportunity was introduced? Especially when it fits the idea of Billie not technically having a Mark of her own. Especially when there are neat connections like the talking with rats. Especially when I see no reason not to. Yeah they chose to have cut off Billie's right arm originally- but why though? Does that bit actually matter? It could have just as easily been her left.

It's not like it would even have to change much. Could have made the animation so Emily kick's the hand away instead of crushing it or something to explain how Billie finds it then literally just re-skin the appearance of Lurk's Void Hand to look like Granny's hand to show the mark and suddenly you have a ... handful if nifty connections and consistencies.

It just seemed like such a small but obvious detail to me, I remember doing all kinds of theorizing about it (before DotO was even released) so it just kind of bugs me that they didn't really use it for anything. It's just... Instead of having 4 different missing-hand-related elements they could have combined them all together and it would've been super neat. The explanation of Billie's powers now is a bit of a mess as is. She has the magic void arm for free for some reason, she also got the magic eye of the dead god for some reason, then she finds the knife. Instead of the Outsider could have instead simply formed a connection to replace her arm and connect it to Granny's, connecting her to the Void and effectively giving her a Mark to fit with all the other characters in the series.

Not that many people really care, but it was something I spent a lot of time thinking about. I could go on and on about how I think they could have expanded on Billie's powers in a way that would have been really cool and fitting.

Anyway that's my bored rant. I spent a lot of time thinking about Billie's hypothetical powers overthe years.
