[Dishonored 2 spoilers] Clockwork soldiers and Pandyssia

Thinking about how the Pandyssian continent's main danger seems to be small swarming animals, and diseases, (At least, judging from the books i found about the continent) Do you think if someone could reverse engineer Gindosh's blueprints forthe clockwork soldiers, they could be used as a tool in the colonization of the continent in the foreseeable future?

Comabtting local nasty creatures is one role, obviously, but I wonder if some of them could be made to do manual labour, like deforestation, maybe a cleansing of a bridgehead for a colony with chemicals and fire (the first of which they are immune to)?

From what I understand, the Void bleeds in to pandyssia like there is no tomorrow, hence all the screwed up flora and fauna. Could that mess with the clockwork soldiers in a meaningul way?

Has Anyone Ever Figured Out The Powers' "Incantations"?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 07:06 AM PST

I haven't played any of the sequels yet, so I am only referring to Corvo's powers from the first game. When I say "incantation", I am referring to the ghostly voice that accompanies the use of each power. When we prepare a Blink, the voice says "Sun"(pronounced like "soot"), and when we complete the Blink, the voice says "Da". So, the full incantation for Blink, is "Sun-Da". The incantation for Dark Vision sounds something like "Hides-Dies". For Possession, it sounds very much like "Co-Hai-Us". For Bend Time, I know there is an incantation, but I cannot remember the phrase, because I rarely use the power due to purchasing it near the endgame. Devouring Swarm may not have an incantation, but I cannot remember for sure. And Windblast, I do not know at all, because I never invest in it.

So, does anyone know the inspirations and/or origins of these phrases, if there are any?

    Dishonored 1 Different Endgame Scenarios

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 07:44 PM PST

A post by u/LUNARSENSE from earlier today gave me a little idea regarding different endgame scenarios for D1 - it always bugged me how a game based on choice and tremendous sensitivity of the world around you to the player's actions would force you down a single path where the loyalists betray you and you have to fall for their treachery and get poisoned.

I thought up of a couple of different possibilities for the endgame storyline:

Ultra low chaos (probably clean hands/ghost): The Loyalists remain well...loyal...and Dunwall has a bright future with each of them leading their respective area of Imperial society. (Pendleton the nobility, Havelock the military, Martin the overseers, etc...)

Low chaos: They try to betray Corvo, but Corvo is an experienced bodyguard and so notices that his beer was poisoned, refuses to drink it, KO's the loyalists and has them imprisoned in Coldridge. Someday, just as they got him out of Coldridge at the start, once they have genuinely repented, they could be let out and start participating positively in the Empire once again.

High chaos: The existing high chaos route for the game.

Just a few thoughts I had. Anyone else been thinking about alternate endgames?
