This photo from “The Brigmore Witches” Ending looks familiar to this part in “Death of the Outsider”especially since they did say they started working on D2 during the dlcs so they probably had this in mind as well.

Some of my favorite views & unusual perspectives | Dishonored 2

    Posted: 30 May 2021 09:09 AM PDT

In my (literal) dozen playthroughs of this game, ive never heard this dialogue, never even seen this book until i did a 360 spin

When chasing Achievements, does it have to be a linear game? Or can I fix mistakes by replaying missions?

    Posted: 31 May 2021 09:00 AM PDT

I noticed that the game lets you replay missions. So if I missed, let's say a Sokolov painting in one mission, can I replay an earlier mission for the achievement? Or do you have to restart the game?

Also, if you're going for a full game achievement, like ghost for instance, let's say you were undetected in missions 1-3, detected in 4, undetected in 5-6. If you went back and did ghost in 4 and continued in mission 7, does that mean you're good? Or no?

    I can't hear the heart.

    Posted: 31 May 2021 04:03 AM PDT

I only recently started playing the first game on ps4 and I can't hear at all what the heart is saying. There are subtitles but no voice track at all, only the regular background noise of the game.

    Daud Low Chaos Question?

    Posted: 31 May 2021 02:18 PM PDT

Okay, so most of Daud's abilities seem to feed into Summon Assassin. But has anyone found a way to use them while still going for Low Chaos?

I had the same issue with Corvo, where he has a lot of powers that are incredibly tempting but essentially wipe out humanity in the long run.

The hell do I do now?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 02:31 PM PDT

I just finished my ghost non lethal run of DOTO, before that I did a ghost non lethal flesh and steel run of D1 and D2, I wanna keep playing these games but how the hell do I challenge myself now?

    Overseer Run?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 02:51 PM PDT

I've been playing Dishonored 2 and I beat it a couple times now. For my next playthrough I wanted to reject the Outsider's mark and have an Overseer mindset. Aside from siding with Byrne, killing everyone involved with the seance, and killing every witch, what more can I do?

Does anyone else think this game(at least the second one) would be great for VR?

I bought an htc vice a week ago and suddenly got reminded of how much I loved Dishonored. The envirement and the city would rock in VR

Any random ideas for Levels you'd like to see? Not just locations like Tyvia or Pandyssia but the actual scenarios you think would be perfect for Dishonored

    Posted: 29 May 2021 08:14 PM PDT

Was wondering if anyone had any fun ideas for levels big or small, from 'set pieces' like Clockwork Mansion to mundane everyday locations we havent seen yet. Was just curious cos you know, I spend too much time thinking about a new Dishonored.

Just to get the ball rolling, heres some boring ones and some weird off the wall ones too

    • House on a Hill - A building out in the open where you can roam the entire perimetre of the property. Just put in all the quintessential imm sim options; sewer entrance, hidden emergency exits, trapdoors into the basement, underwater cave in the lake that leads beneath the house, smuggle in via a delivery to the kitchen, rock up to the front door with the right piece of paper, big ass oak with a wayward branch to reach rooftop entrance. Put everything in. The Bank Job from DOTO but on crack.
    • Grand Rail Station - Lavish neutral territory, centre of trade and transport with a hazardous electrified underbelly. A location with as many civilian NPCs as possible, lots of moving trains and multi-layered railways. Get into the high control room and divert military supplies to your next stop to preemptively nerf enemies MGS3 style.
    • Theatre Opera House - Boyle party but when you kill people everyone thinks its part of a play.
    • Airship - Inaugural flight of a miraculous flying machine. Plus chaos rating gets a multiplier. Take out just the target and her maiden voyage is a success that may chance the future of travel. Kill too many people and she ends up steering into the city below killing hundreds. Banter.
    • Big Hazardous Warehouse - A production line like a conjoined lumberyard-printing press or metalworks factory that rolls straight onto a Rail System. The first location in this world of big mass production. Conveyor belts, climbable chains everywhere, clockwork machinery, pistons and levers - akin to the Clockwork mansion but less eccentric inventor, more industrial revolution.
    • Whale Trawlers out at Sea - Finally explore those ships. If they're too small, just put more of them out there. Hop ship to ship searching for your target. Maybe throw in some Dust District style weather events? But Instead of some dust its a metric ass load of water. Gradually tilting gravity could be neat too.
    • Madman's Dungeon Maze - You, enemy guards and civilians are trapped by a murderer in some labyrinth and you are all hunted by some unstoppable entity (perhaps an iron armored clockwork soldier or something). Less of a level location, more of a social system concept? Basically imagine having all the agro from guards suddenly drop and fighting alongside them, having to work with the enemy guards to save civilians, but just for one level.
    • Painting of Pandyssia - Apart from a game entirely set in the distant continent, I think it'll be hard to have a single one off level set in Pandyssia. But how about an enchanted painting? Perhaps a team of explorers unknowingly brought a painter touched by the Outsider. Now you can do a one-off leap into the exotic mysterious landscape, with its bizarre creatures and plant life.
    • Countryside Post Conflict - Heres a funky one. A bleak dead battlefield in the wake of a civil war, a battle long concluded, motionless armored bodies scattered across an open muddy landscape, complete silence save the steps of roaming Tall Boys. They carry flamethrowers to purge the mounds of corpses from accumulating rats and also to guard the dilapidated, crumbling ruins of a castle soldiers have taken as a forward base. Vibes: medieval Jude Law in Enemy at the Gates, taking out high ranking military officials whilst surrounded by the dead as the mechanical march of warfare continues just out of sight.

Anyone has experience with the dishonored series on linux?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 04:33 AM PDT

So my windows installation died and currently only my ubuntu partition boots. I only really kept my windows around for gaming, but with proton most steam games are actually playable.

Anyone here plays on linux can give their experience regarding the dishonored games in terms of performance and stability?
