- How everyone. I’m currently craving for first person games recently as I just beat Bioshock 1 & 3 and loved it. Currently playing doom as well, but my friend recommended me Dishonored. Do you think I’d like it?

Can You guys have some really nice Images/Fan Art's of Dunwall City? Posted: 18 Jan 2020 05:00 PM PST High quality ones, I'm asking solely for Art of said city, I'm asking since I'm gonna be using Corvo Attano in a Debate and I would like a very nice picture of where Corvo and His Opponent will fight. I think the chaos system was counter-productive to the enjoyment of the game Posted: 18 Jan 2020 03:54 PM PST There's a saying I've heard the writers for Half Life 1 say when they were making the first game: 'Don't let a good story get in the way of good gameplay.' I think that holds true here. My biggest gripe with this game which, although I enjoy it very much, is that every kill the player-character makes determines the ultimate ending of the game. For instance, look at the walls of light. Now for anyone trying to get rid of bodies, unconscious or killed, these walls of light are a great gameplay mechanic by which you can 'hide' bodies without upgrading your ability. It works gameplay wise. HOWEVER, the game doesn't call me smart for using them, it calls me 'a bad person', and it effectively judges me in the final ending. In fact, many of the abilities seem geared towards devouring, and murdering your enemies in grim and gruesome ways, from bloodflies being released to consume your foes, to doppelgangers awesomely assassinating guards on your behalf, everything in this game seems geared towards being awesome gameplay wise if you kill your enemies, but at the same time wants to narratively 'judge' me as a 'bad person' for using all its superawesome features. It's like someone marketing you a bag of hot pockets claiming, 'these are the most delicious bacon filled hot pockets you will ever taste' but then as soon as I eat them, it replies, 'YOU TOTAL FAT ASS. LOOK AT YOU FILLING YOUR FAT FACE WITH HOT POCKETS. HAVE YOU NO SHAME?' Some people might respond, 'Why does the ending matter? Just enjoy the game if it offends you so much.' That might be true, but it is very difficult to just 'enjoy the game' when the game keeps insisting throughout whether or not your actions are 'moral' or not. I mean come on, i'm a superpowered ninja lady flying across rooftops with a spider rope, why does everything have to be 'morally realistic', why can't I just have fun in a game without being labelled bad for just enjoying the mechanics? Canon info about Outsider’s mark bearers Posted: 18 Jan 2020 03:05 PM PST So, as far as the lore goes there were only 8 (or so) people with the outsider mark. Are all those people had different powers? Like, I assume everyone had some sort of teleport/movement power (blink, far reach). What about other powers? Canonically, for example, Corvo does not have the ability to use Emily's power power like domino and vice versa? I know that is more of a game balance and Emily's powers were not even thought of at the time of development of the first game but is there any answer to that in the lore? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Jan 2020 02:49 PM PST I just beat Dishonered 2 4 the 1st time (as Emily) low chaos. so I was wondering, should I do both high and low chaos for corvo and Emily, or low with Emily and high with Corvo. Will it make a difference in the ending? [link] [comments]
Does Dishonored 1 pc retail box still works? Posted: 18 Jan 2020 07:25 AM PST I know the game is using WGFL and i know (from my own experience) it made bioshock 1 imposible to download and took down GTA 4 from steam. So... Can i buy it and download it without issues? [link] [comments]
Is the morality system in Dishonored 1, flawed? Posted: 18 Jan 2020 02:06 AM PST I've played through Dishonored 1 many many times and I love it, one of my absolute favorite games. That being said, there is something in the game that bothers me a bit. Example: I've gone a high chaos playthrough till about midway through the game and then I have stopped killing and the summary at the end of each mission still says high chaos. Meaning that there is a certain amount of missions that determines your chaos level and anything post that is more or less meaningless. Making it impossible to "redeem yourself" Anybody else have experience with this? Or is just me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:51 PM PST Also, currently dishonored 2 is on sale on PSN for $14 do you guys think I should just get that game? Because the full collection of the games is $80 and I unfortunately don't have the funds for that. What should I do? As someone who loves bioshock would I like dishonored. And is it worth it to just get dishonored 2 right now for $14 or should I wait for the collection to go on sale for cheap? [link] [comments] |
