    I got myself a Mark of the Outsider Tattoo on the Arm instead of the Hand, here's why:

    For me the Mark always, if intended by the developers or not, represented a compass, it made sense to me, it had a needle, an N and the Dishonored Games played in a Fisherman's land, but more importantly it was a spiritual one. The Mark was given to those who were betrayed by the ones they trusted, to those who lost the ones they loved, to those who had nothing to live for but something to fight for, the Dishonored. It was a tool to find their way of dealing with it, to disappear, to eliminate those who wronged them or to reveal the truth. It was their compass to a brighter future. But the owner of the Mark, they were the needle. They chose the direction, they chose their future, their destiny. I always found that approach towards the mark a more significant one, bringing it more meaning. I could've put the mark anywhere though, I put it on my arm, since, well, I did harm myself earlier in my life, struggled a lot but am now trying to turn my life around, I choose my own destiny, and I believe in each of you to do so as well. Everytime I look at my arm I see that compass and I am reminded that I am choosing which direction it shows me, which direction I will go.

    Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk. TL;DR: I believe the mark is a spiritual compass and you should choose your own direction in life.
