Who wrote the Month of Darkness song? Is Shan Yun plagarising? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 11:10 AM PDT So there's this song called Born in the Month of Darkness by the two travelling musicians, and it includes this lyric: In the Month of Darkness, seasons destroyed A ritual killing bound his spirit to the Void Eyes drained of color, the beggar no more To become what the Believers waited for They set him outside, beyond the spheres Quiet as the night, long like the years He opened his eyes, as black as a dream Trying to speak, his only words only a scream Shan Yun has a popular audiograph where he sings essentially the last two verses, titled In the Month of Darkness - it's exactly those lyrics above. Did he copy it from the musicians somehow? It would make sense if they invented it because their version incorporates the fact that it's sung by two people pretty well. Or maybe all the songs are popular old songs that no-one is claiming ownership of? This can't be true of all of them because one of them specifically references Delilah's coup and Emily. Also, it's it weird that they know it was the month of darkness when it was thousands of years ago? Maybe the month was named after the event and not the other way around... [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Apr 2020 01:48 PM PDT Hello! Some time ago I finished all the achievements on Dishonored 1, except Dunwall City Trials. I love Dishonored 1 with all my heart and I really want to get 100% achievements, but this DLC annoys me so much, I don't know if I can finish it. Any tip/suggestion/word of motivation? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 06:20 PM PDT I know it's very small, but I've been replaying 1 trying to get Ghost and Clean hands and noticed two things.
That's it... [link] [comments]
[Possible spoilers] The beauty of Dishonoreds Dlcs Posted: 28 Apr 2020 02:29 PM PDT ahem during this quarentine/isolation we are all facing, I got a bit bored of other games and wanted to go back to my roots. Dishonored. The first game I ever played on my playstation, and the only one I've ever really connected with. I had already played the main game in low chaos and suck at combat, so I decided to check out the dlcs since I had the definitive edition. And, to be honest, the Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches aren't very talked about. And I can't understand why. These are some of the best dlcs I've ever played. And they even have their own intricate story. It only took me 3 days to finish both dlcs, and considering I'm slow I'll take that as an accomplishment. But I was constantly having a great time playing these dlcs. It didn't feel boring or like a quick cash grab. It felt like a whole new game in the same atmosphere. In the last mission of The Knife of Dunwall, the fun really didn't stop at all, I was moving around, jolly as ever, enjoying being stealthy and taking in scenery. But one thing I loved about Dishonored and still love to this day, is that they can use the same place for a main game and dlc, and it will always feel different. It never felt boring. After a while I realized it was the same room as used in the main game. But that didn't affect how I felt in the slightest. Since i played the main game low chaos, I also played the two dlcs low chaos and I will never forget how surprised I was the first time I went to fight Delilah in the void. I didn't realize the statues were coming alive, or that I was supposed to swap the paintings. I just kinda was confused as to why there were 7 Delilahs because I yeeted myself into the void with half health and almost no mana, and could only take down 3 max. After a while I decided to just hide and watched what she was doing, and then realized what the other painting was for. Swapped them. And was a-ok. Also, brigmore witches is a nightmare in low chaos. I gave up being nice when I reached the gallery and almost died thanks to a whole group of witches. Arc-mines handle them and their hounds nicely though. But overall, the complexity of these two dlcs is amazing. The fact that Daud has a chance to possibly redeem himself shows that he too isn't as bad as he had once seemed. For two dlcs, they felt like an entirely new game in the same universe. And it couldn't be much better. I was just as invested as I was in the main game, felt equally as challenged if not more, and had a blast playing. If you haven't, for any reason, played these two dlcs yet, I highly suggest you try them out. They're amazing and expanded on the world of the game so much that I feel like it's much more pieced together and even the side characters were very enjoyable. Only thing I would critique is "The Hatters" simply because I can't get behind the idea that they really said "We need something for a gang......" "Tophats." To me, the tophats conveyed the message of "ah yes. Im a college frat boy in 1832, mumsy just kicked me out of the house. Im a thug now, mammah" I was more cautious in the dead eels territory than the top hat boys. But it was a nice laugh nonetheless. Still. Best dlcs out there, and honestly could probably take the title for another Dishonored game entirely. TL;DR: Dishonoreds dlcs "The Knife of Dunwall" and "Brigmore Witches" and fantastic and you should play them. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 05:18 AM PDT So I was wondering exactly how bonecharms work in all the Dishonored games. In Death of the Outsider Billie says she new someone who claimed a bone charm would make him bullet proof so he shot himself on the stomach and died a day later. So do bonecharms only work for people marked by the Outsider or have a connection to the void? We know for sure bonecharms work for Corvo, Emily, Daud and Billie and they are all marked by the Outsider. [link] [comments]
