Want to know if I’m alone on this

    Posted: 19 Apr 2021 02:32 PM PDT

I believe that Dishonored 2 did everything better than Dishonored except for a few things. It adds on to a lot, the gameplay mechanics are better, the animations are better and there are more of them, and the world is amazing to explore. Finding runes and collectibles is really fun for me. As well as notes and other lore pieces. The only two "complaints" I have are the story and some voice acting. The story is very similar to the firsts, however, there are differences. I personally find it amazing. As well as the heart sideplot. I'm probably one of the few that enjoyed this ones story just as much as the first. So it isn't really a complaint for me, but it is really similar. The voice acting for some people is definitely sub par, but most of it is amazing. The outsider for me is pretty good, but I did prefer the first one. I think of the voice stayed the same but added a little more emotion it would have been perfect. Though I understand why they didn't use him. I've seen people complain about the characters, but what I don't understand is that Dishonored's characters were the same. They both had specific characters that were very interesting while others we average. I just don't like seeing some people bash on the game. I think if this ones story came first, then people would complain about Dishonored's instead. I think the originality and it being the first game really played a big role for some people. I know reviews got significantly better over time, but I still want to know your guys' opinions. Am I alone on this?

Pitch for a Dishonored Horror Game.

    Posted: 19 Apr 2021 05:07 AM PDT

In the past Pandyssia had Cities and Kingdoms, before the Fall, before the Doom of Pandyssia.

You are a member of the Royal Family, a prince of one of the Kingdoms. Your city falls around you, rats eat the flesh of Living and Dead, people weep blood, worst of all a Killer is on the loose. He came like a Ghost, slaughtering your Family right before your eyes. A loyal body guard managed to send you to the catacombs under the city, giving you his dagger so that you may protect yourself. He tells you a ship has been prepared to take you away from the crumbling city, before he too was also cut down by the Killer. In the catacombs, you find a strange whale bone carving, a man with eyes black as pitch appears and touches your eyes.

Alone and afraid, you must navigate through the city to be able to flee from the city's collapse. Armed with nothing but a dagger and a strange ability to see in the dark. You must confront the ever growing number of Weepers, Rats, Desperate Men, even strange things that leak from the place they call the Void, all while being chased by an Assassin. Will you make it out alive, or die trying?

EDIT: Some Mechanics I thought of: Sanity and Dark Eyes: There is no Pietro, Addemire Solution, or an Equivalent in the Era, the Prince relies on his Sanity to cast his one ability: Dark Eyes. Dark Eyes works pretty much like the lamp or lantern in other horror games allowing you to navigate Dark Areas, or Highlight important objects. Sanity regenerates very very slowly. Use it wisely.

Disease: You may catch the Weeping, the more exposed you are to it the lower your total health becomes, you may find ways to stave this off by finding medicine or herbal remedies as you try to escape the City. You may catch this by being attacked by Rats, and Weepers.

The Dagger: Your main and only weapon. You are not a good fighter in any respect, but you are quiet, and you can sneak. Killing is quick but you may suffer Health Damage with a head on attack, and you will more than likely lose. You can attack them from behind, or you can choke them out which takes a very long time, and especially Dangerous for Weepers as the disease hangs over them like a miasma.

Chaos System: There is no Chaos System, I think it would be better to integrate it into the gameplay itself, killing reduces your sanity, making it risky to kill people knowing it can hamper your ability to see in the Dark.

Bone Charms and Runes: These are Rare, found in the deepest recesses of your falling Kingdom. You may find them and be able to Increase your Sanity, as your connection to the Void grows. Or grow stronger, or healthier, or move as silent as a cat even as you run.

    Dishonored 2 Mission 9

    Posted: 19 Apr 2021 02:23 PM PDT

So on my first run of the game I'm trying to do a low chaos run where I take out all my targets the non lethal way, however on what I think is the last mission of the game (Death to the Empress) I need to make a corrupted rune. To make runes I need the bone charm making ability which I didn't get because I wasn't very keen on it. Do I have to replay the other missions to get enough runes or is their another way to get the corrupted rune?

Play in Dishonored 2 in mode No Powers

    Posted: 19 Apr 2021 05:45 AM PDT

Please tell me, is it possible, playing in the mode "no powers", to fully explore the game location and go everywhere there? If there is any video about it or advice, I will be glad to see them.

I can't find the fake Duke Abele dude in chapter 8 of D2 and it's driving me crazy!

    Posted: 18 Apr 2021 08:45 PM PDT

I have literally looked everywhere in the palace lads.

The real dude is on the very top floor. I have the marker for him, but not the fake one. I talked to the one on the top floor and confirmed it was the real one and made a spare save just in case

But the double is nowhere to be found. I haven't accidentally knocked him out. Only maids and guards. He's not on any floor of the palace. Even looked outside
