I can finally rest... but what a ride it was!

Just days after finishing Dishonored, I just finished Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches. And holy shit again

After beating Dishonored, I decided to play Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches. And I absolutely love this final progression in Daud's final mission. I love how regretful he is about killing Jessamine and how much depth goes into his character.

This is easily one of the best DLCs I have ever played, and now I'll be replaying Dishonored and will be going into Dishonored 2

Death of the outsider is weird

    Posted: 28 Apr 2021 12:07 PM PDT

So I just recently finished death of the outsider, and is it just me or is this game really weird, I mean almost everything about is just a bit odd. At first I was puzzled why they would release it as a separate game instead of just DLC (like knife of dunwall and brigmore witches), but I wasn't prepared to just how different this game would be from everything I've seen before. Basically almost every mechanic was either scrapped and replaced or added on to in some really weird way, like the rune and upgrade system is gone (replaced by bonecharms, for some reason) and you only have three powers, all of which are basically just past powers with extra steps. And the story is really weird too, I mean it wasn't really that hard to kill the outsider, all you apparently needed was the knife, and you'd just walk right through the door and stab him, I kinda thought it would be a little bit more effort. And the whole zombie arm and God eye thing Billie has going on is so weird too, they aren't given too you, the outsider downright attacks you (which is something he'd never done before too, the guy is actually showing some semblance of emotions!) And forces them onto you. I actually really really love this game, and I don't know if I made that clear enough. I'm glad it's so different, even though it didn't really have to be (knife of dunwall was basically the same thing as the base game and yet it's my favorite part of the franchise). Sorry for this being so long, I just need to say a couple of words about how odd I find this game to be (in a good way).

First Time Player: I Beat it!

    Posted: 28 Apr 2021 12:42 AM PDT

Just wanted to celebrate here! I beat the 1st game; clean hands & low chaos. I had this series recommended bc of other games I love and it's been really cool learning to play a game in a sneaky way! Excited to play the other games! :)

I just got the first dishonored game a couple weeks back and realized that there are 2 endings, which should I try and get for my first play through?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:13 PM PDT

I'm kinda perplexed as to why Billie thought it was ever a good idea to kill Daud.

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 11:11 PM PDT

Unstable/erratic/confused as Daud got towards the "end," killing him just seems like a dumb idea. His assassins only have powers due to an arcane bond with him. I think it stands to reason that him dying would cut all that off and leave everyone magic-free. They're all obviously still physically fit and capable of stealth and parkour, but getting cut off from all magic would surely still hurt a whole ton.

If I were Billie or any of them, I'd metaphorically keep Daud bubble wrapped so I can keep my magic.

    Campbells Curse

    Posted: 28 Apr 2021 05:24 AM PDT

So I'm doing the flooded district mission and In the area where I collected my items I found a note, from high overseer Campbell cursing Corvo. However, I killed Campbell way back in the game. Is this just an oversight on the developers part or am I missing something?

    Banes of my non-lethal playthrough...

    Banes of my non-lethal playthrough...

Me: *is hiding up on the ceiling or blinking between two posts*

    Either:

    A. *guard walks underneath me, drop assassination tutorial pops up and WILL NOT GO AWAY*

    B. *guards start saying "Huh?" every couple seconds so I think I'm discovered even when no one's seen me*

    Either way...
