Silvergraph is a new invention yet video feeds exist?

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 11:53 AM PDT

The Lord Regent had an actual video monitor feed going from his room to Dunwall Tower's lobby. Yet Kirin Jindosh has invented the silvergraph which allows pictures to be taken. This feels like going backwards in technology right? The Lord Regent's video was even in color. Does Jindosh not know about this? Is there a proper explanation for it?

"These dentistry busts remind me of the Overseer masks in Morley."

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 12:57 PM PDT

    Screenshot

Just inside the Overseer region of Mission 6 - Dust District, there is a dentist's office to the right above a small cliff of rocks that contains these busts, which can be interacted with. When playing as Emily, she utters this line (I'm sure Corvo says something similar).

What I'm wondering is why these busts specifically are interactable, and why this line? These busts are in just about every mission up to now in equally innocuous places. Why the worldbuilding about Morley? It doesn't seem to serve a direct purpose or have an incentive to why Emily or Corvo would even notice these on the shelf. Just trying to figure out why the developers might've done something like this, when they really hadn't in the missions before.

Change in jump mechanic from Dishonored base game to DLCs

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 01:32 AM PDT

I can't be the only one to notice how the Agility jump mechanic changes from the base game to the DLCs, right?

In the base game, once you unlock Agility Level 1, you can jump higher than usual. When you tap the spacebar, your jump is still the same. When you hold the spacebar, you jump much higher....however, there's a noticeable 'pause' when you reach the regular jump height before moving further up in the air.

In Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches, this pause is gone. Jumping feels more fluid and intuitive.

Tell me I'm not the only one who noticed!

    “Daughter of Tyvia”

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 03:16 PM PDT

Can't believe I ain't ever heard of this. I mean after seeing that whole fan fiction thing between discount Corvo and Outsider I didn't expect the first game to have something like this. A note found in Dunwall Tower talking about a Duchess and a Young Noble lady about to kiss who are then interrupted by a servant who accidentally saw all of it only to get dragged in to a threesome. What in the fan fiction shit is this?

    Vice Overseer Byrne's voice actor....

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 03:22 AM PDT

    ....is Jamie Hector.

Who also portrayed Marlo Stanfield in The Wire.

Now I'm picturing him talking to his underlings when we come across him in-game and delivering a slightly different version of his famous monologue:

'Runes were on the street? When we bounce from this shit here, y'all going to go down on them corners and let the people know: Word did not get back to me. Let them know Byrne step to any motherfucker - Paolo, Mindy, whoever. HERESY IS HERESY!'

How tall is Corvo? Is he over 6 feet ?

I'm curious because he definitely towers over people in the game
