Death of the outsider is based on a lie

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 01:41 AM PDT

Daud kept blaming the outsider thinking that he knew what would happen to the world with his marks. But this is not true.

We have seen daud questioning his actions in D1 dlcs (low chaos). I am not gonna talk about how daud knew that he is responsible for his actions because that was obvious and it is more obvious that in death of the outsider he somehow changed his mind and said: IT IS THE OUTSIDER FAULT IMMA END THIS MAN WHOLE CAREER

The truth is that the OUTSIDER CANNOT SEE THE FUTURE. Which is mentioned in Doto btw. (I think in one of the hollow inspection)

So he never knew what's gonna happen. I know he is always looking for a good show to entertain his bored a*ss which we can clearly see when he is narrating the high chaos ending of D1

So I was thinking, Billie saw how Emily has powers and used them for good. Assuming that she didn't know Emily had powers in the first place. Daud knows that Corvo has the mark and he is a Good man. I still don't see why daud wanted to kill the outsider.

Granny rags/the lonely rat boy. Are they bad people? Do they prove daud's point?

At shindaery north we hear two cultists saying that the outsider allows magic to target individuals rather than indiscriminately affect everyone.

    So, what are your thoughts?

Was always disappointed you couldn't do this at the end of Dishonored 2

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 03:04 AM PDT

I love Dishonored, by far my favorite game franchise ever. I've played these games an ungodly number of times. When you play as much as I have, you start trying to think of cool new things that you might be able to do.

It would be sooooooo cool if you could trap yourself in the painting at the end; ie: you place the corrupted bone charm on the throne and then sit on the throne yourself. Probably doesn't make tremendous sense narratively (why would you trap yourself) but it could be explained that you got too greedy and overlooked it. In all of my attempts, this is one of the few "what ifs" that Arkane didn't think of/didn't implement.

Dishonored 2 A Crack in the Slab missing hound

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 04:56 AM PDT

OK, I posted asking about this last night after a long day and wasn't making much sense so deleted the post. Thanks to u/Twistedinstinct for trying to help!

So, as you will know, A Crack in the Slab has some amazing time travel puzzles. Most of you probably found the furnace room with the dead wolfhound (in the past) and the bloodfly nest (in the present, having emerged from the dog per the note) BEFORE you made your choice regarding killing/knocking out Stilton.

Weirdly, if (like me or this guy - https://youtu.be/LBpn06yhFPw?t=1230) you knock out Stilton before you even knew about the furnace room, when you get there *in the past* (i.e., this isn't a change to the present resulting from your actions with Stilton) there is no wolfhound there, so you can't do this puzzle. The same limitation (of dealing with Stilton first) applies to the flooded basement puzzle, but that's because the *present* has changed (so that the hole in the wall has been repaired, blocking access), not the past, as in this case.

So what happens? Well, the pile of ash is already in the furnace in the present (as well as the safe having been moved and some jellied eels having been put inside, for some reason!), so somehow, while you were outside faffing with Stilton and/or witnessing the séance, some NPC (even if you killed or choked them all) must have come out of nowhere and cleaned up the mess in that room (including the note), in real time. And ignoring all the dead/unconscious guards that litter the floor, amusingly.

Unless of course I am still missing something. Amazing level regardless. I recommend checking out 'The Silent Age' for more of this cause and effect jumping between two time periods gameplay.

Was it anyone else who was conflicted with corvo having a voice in dishonored 2

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 04:20 PM PDT

As the title says, was it anyone else who was conflicted that he had a voice, I don't mind it now after playing for a few 20 hours but still.

Alvaro and the Abbey Contract - Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 02:56 AM PDT

To anyone having trouble getting this contract done and subsequently getting the trophy, this is how I finally did it.

I was forever stuck on 53 kills. I looked and scoured every nook and cranny. Checked every dead body. Restarted three times. Nothing.

Reading left and right, I had the idea that the difficulty could be affecting the respawns. I was playing on medium, went to the settings and changed the difficulty to easy. And then restarted the mission. Going through it again killing only by sword. I noticed at least four extra enemies at various places. Killed everyone and suddenly I'm on 57 kills. Placed the bastard on the chair and voila. It finally unlocked.

I hope this help anyone struggling with it.

Dishonored 1 Vs 2 My Own Opinion (Mild spoilers But its only about the upgrades )

    Posted: 10 Sep 2021 10:39 PM PDT

Okay just before I start and since some people does not read the title this is my own opinion feel free to fight this opinion in the comments

Okay ive finished dishonored 1 ive tried dishonored 2 and here is a list of pros and cons of playing each one also im not including death of the outsider because im gonna be honest I dont have any space left for that and I still want to play deathloop

    Okay so,

The first thing I think that made a difference the first time Ive tried dishonored 2 is a few gameplay tweaks.(guys i havent progressed that much yet in dishonored 2 and no spoilers)is that you can know do a non lethal drop takedown which is amazing for low chaos also now you can do a combat non lethal takedown which is amazing also the crossbow now has the auto reload upgrade which is also pretty nice.

The second thing is that you can now play as two different characters! You can play as an adult Emily and a Old Corvo which guys how is he able to move like that?

Also lets talk about Graphics know this is up for debate but there is a different style between these two games the first one feels a bit semi cartoony semi realistic style while the graphics of the second is realistic I feel like I love both graphics

Another thing I want to mention is that according to some users from steam and reddit the second is unoptimized I have a way to fix that thx to another dude from reddit

    https://www.reddit.com/r/dishonored/comments/5cmqk0/heres_why_dishonored_2_is_running_so_poorly/

this is the link idk if its optimized now but try this reddit post ill talk about that later

A lot of the elements from the first game is obviously here and since no spoilers I wont talk much about that

Also I almost forgot the powers of Corvo from Dishonored 2 is upgraded a ton from the first game I havent tried Emily yet but maybe next playthrough

Now its time for the cons or the bad things about dishonored 2 which makes dishonored 1 better

The performance is idk about now since ive played it like last 2 year ago but performance is significantly better on the first game now you might be saying well its an almost 1 decade old game well even to this day dishonored 1 graphics still hold up surprisingly well and It felt almost like it was a year old game

Now I wont spoil the story but according to some reddit post they felt like Dishonored 2 was a bad story because Dishonored 1 story was already done for them Idk about this and I cant spoil so ill leave this at that

This is only a couple of things and I like both games I personally think both games are good and is fair to critize my review but for a dishonored 1 and 2 to still hold up to this day is surprisingly amazing. While it does not hold up in some aread I think its fair to say that both games are amazing and I personally reccomend them
