Dishonored 2 needed a morality pet

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 12:23 PM PDT

Dishonored 2's story needed a party member who would fill the same role as Emily/Samuel from D1 on board the Dreadful Wale. A key theme of the dishonored series is choice and consequence, and the absence of the character role I've mentioned is, personally, what makes the D2 story and stakes less compelling.

There's been plenty of fan opinion and even official responses from D1's developers that D1 Emily becoming much darker and twisted during High Chaos, as well as the crushing guilt felt from Samuel's admonishment at the beginning of a High Chaos version of the last level caused players to regret the homicidal path they'd taken. That's something that is missing in Dishonored 2.

Since it can be argued that Meagan Foster wouldn't be the type to react too differently according to the chaos level due to the hardened character she is, I'd propose adding a new character that would tag along on the Dreadful Wale in-between missions, ideally a Karnacan resident who would naturally have stakes in how the protagonist's actions are affecting their homeland. Obviously there has to be some reason provided why they're tagging along. When in Low Chaos, they (using a gender neutral pronoun, since this person can be male or female) would be much more hopeful, kind, optimistic, and if young, even innocent, while in High Chaos, they could become angry and disappointed, or jaded, twisted and cruel, seeing how your actions have devastated Karnaca.

In the first dishonored, Emily is a young impressionable girl, and as heir to the throne, will most directly influence the empire once she is Empress depending on the lessons learnt from Corvo. Samuel is a simple boatman and commoner representing the working class who have to suffer the consequences of the choices made by nobility. Without characters like these in dishonored 2, who accompany the protagonist and change throughout most of the game, the emotional stakes tied to player actions is lessened, and the residents of Karnaca seen more as distant NPCs than actual people with actual lives worthy of sympathy.

Dishonored: Original Story 'Complete,' But Series Is Not On Hold

So obviously the empress is inside the heart in dishonored 2,but was it ever confirmed she is in the heart in dishonored 1?

I recently watched the death loop trailer and had an idea

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 01:34 PM PDT

I don't know If someone already talked about that, but i'd like to share this with this lovely comunity. In the trailer there was a quick explanation that you will need to kill 8 targets, but, the huntress that will seek you had more atencion than that targets, and at the end of the video It shows like her point of view. So, i looked at this and tought...Will be an 1 versus 1 game with the dishonored mechanics? Like, one player being the progagonist and one player being the huntress, fighting each other in the loop until something happens.Personaly, i would love It, it would be so challenging, like an PvP version of dishonored.

This make some Sense or am I being a litle too Crazy? What do you people think?
