Oh, you want to complete a non-lethal run ? It would be a shame if someone decided to die FOR NO FUCKING REASON

A new Dishonored game would be very different considering everything that’s happened in the Veiled Terror

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 02:52 PM PDT

I just found this out because I haven't caught up on all the novels that in the Veiled Terror, the Abbey of the Everyman has been dissolved by Emily. With a whole raid on Whitecliff and also killing all of the Oracular Sisters in their chapels. Which means I guess the main religion is gone. A Dishonored game, wherever it may take place, would be very different without the Abbey's influence. And considering anyone can tap into Void abilities now (if I interpret DotO's ending correctly) a lot can happen but I'm a bit surprised that the Overseers are gone now.

What's your favourite Dishonored 2 or DotO soldier voice line?

We are always talking about whiskeys and cigars but in the second and third games there are interesting lines too! Let me say some.

She says keeps alert, I say I am alert, I've been alert, she says yeah but this time I really mean it.

    Ohh... That kiss...

Let's check the place, just in case!

A few thoughts on The Corroded Man[NO SPOILERS]

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 06:29 PM PDT

For starters, the "Corroded Man" himself is a much better antagonist than Delilah. While both have great motivations that drive them to fulfil their goals, Delilah's backstory only seeks to draw sympathy—which might not convince players her past & present actions are justified & make her deserving of succeeding—whereas the Corroded Man's seeks both sympathy & empathy, the latter of which, if gained, best persuades readers he's very much deserving of succeeding despite whatever "necessary evils" he commits, even eliciting hope that he's successful.

The allure his appearance, behaviour & presence generate—all dark, ominous, intimidating & mysterious—left me wanting to learn more about him & what was to come in his wake. However, The threat presented to Emily & Corvo by the Corroded Man appears much greater than that presented by Delilah, leaving you conflicted between the two sides. As the former Empress' secret evil step sister who stole the crown & held more power than anyone who'd ever lived, Delilah has an allure, but its not as strong as his.

Emily, unlike herself in D2, often comes off as foolhardy & a little impulsive at times, leaping head first & into the fray of any critical situation as one arises. But, she has more of a personality, feels relatable & overall feels like an actual person as opposed to her D2 counterpart who I can't say the same for. Her thoughts & actions differed from those in the games & left me amused & a bit curious as to how else she'd continue to surprise me throughout the novel.

    I’m confused

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 05:02 PM PDT

Okay, so after playing Dishonored for the millionth time, I asked myself the important question: Why did everyone think Corvo abducted Emily?

I mean, hear me out, he was standing there in the middle of the gazebo with no exit in sight. Where would he have taken her? The bushes?
