    Happy Anniversary Dishonored!

    Posted: 08 Oct 2021 03:24 PM PDT

Nine years ago today, this awesome game was released and spawned a detailed universe, at least two sequels, comics, novels, and a whole lot of fun.

Dishonored is one of my all-time favorite games. I'll always be appreciate of the writers and devs at Arkane for making this wondrous experience that I have enjoyed throughout the years.

While it's currently 'resting', I always take time to travel back to the Empire of the Isle and immerse myself in the world there.

Thank you Dishonored and thank you Arkane! :)

Are the Dunwall City Trails worth it?

    Posted: 08 Oct 2021 03:11 PM PDT

Recently I went back to Dishonored 1 and collected the achievements I missed for the base game, The Knife of Dunwall, and The Brigmore Witches. I've never touched Dunwall City Trails. How easy is it to get all of the achievements for that DLC? Should I even bother or is it a shitshow?

Question about Billie Lurk and DOTO

    Posted: 08 Oct 2021 01:28 PM PDT

Hello everyone, first post here. I played dishonored 1 + dlc and 2 a while ago, and recently did a new game of the second game and finally played death of the outsider for the first time. I have a question I only found one answer on an old Reddit post which doesn't make sense to me (sayin Emily couldn't pardon her, even if at the beginning of doto you find a note saying the empress doesn't hold a grudge against Billie).

Why is Billie hunted for in dishonored DOTO ? Why « around » 10 years after her daud's assassin life is there poster about her (about this identity) ? I would understand poster for Megan for smuggling etc, but not really for Billie. Maybe it has something to do with the time traveling stuff from D2?

In a game as much detailed as this saga, I was expecting a clear answer on the wiki, but apparently it's quite complicated

I finally finished Dishonored after putting it down at release after the mid point (got distracted). Is the ending (low chaos) disappointing and anti-climactic for anyone else?

    Posted: 08 Oct 2021 01:42 PM PDT

The game is great, despite putting down the game years ago I still bought the supplemental reading material because of how great the world building is and while I found the gameplay limited at times I still had a good go of it. I did everything optional I could do, subdued every guard I could, and searched for every last coin on a map.

That said I found the ending really just…blah.

Spoilers: First, the lighthouse/fort was pretty boring overall. No new tricks, and not even a place with some of the more dangerous enemies like tall boys or even dogs. I was expecting Havelock/the other Regent to have made this place really formidable and it just was not. It wasn't even all that visually interesting.

Second, Havelock just…gives up? I know he attacks you if you grab the key but otherwise he shows no fear, no wrath, or anything but resignation at the sight of you. You get no closure with the other Loyalists other than the ones back at the pub because he decided to poison them off screen. Why? I get that he's gone a little mad but what was the point of all this? The Loyalists win but in the last moment they decide to betray Corvo, kill everyone else involved (or tried to), seize control for themselves and after holding power for like a week (?) Havelock poisons his pals and gives up? Then after you easily dispatch the broken guy you just walk over 2ft and open the door to yet another rescue hug from Emily and roll credits? What was the narrative point of this third act?

I expected Havelock to put up a fight and be an even more dangerous man than the last Regent but it's all a pointless fizzle almost like they ran out of money or just didn't know how to end it. It was very frustrating.

Beating Dishonored 2 with only thrown objects?

    Posted: 08 Oct 2021 03:37 PM PDT

Has anyone ever tried this, I was testing it out last night, and while extremely monotonous I think it's entirely possible.

One thing I wish is that there was a way to routinely line up the arc of your throw because when you miss, the bottle breaks alerting every enemy in a half mile radius.

    Looking for a Complete Timeline

    Posted: 08 Oct 2021 02:42 PM PDT

I've been looking for a timeline of the series that includes everything- the books, comics, DLC, and anything else, and itemizes where each of these sit on the timeline.

The wiki has a timeline that incorporates the in-universe dates, but I couldn't find anything that described when each iteration in the series is set. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

    Does it exist?

Dishonored: A Captain of Industry help?

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 11:58 PM PDT

So, I am currently trying to an All Coins run right now for all of Dishonored 1 and 2, and am playing this series "Canonically", I am currently in the 1st part and mission of "The Knife of Dunwall" which would be "A Captain of the Whale Industry" and after I've blown up the Valves I attempt to interrogate Rothwild which doesn't work, I am doing this in the hopes I can do both putting Rothwild in a box and getting the Slaughterhouse to house to blow whilst getting a Low Chaos which I know is possible as this video and many posts and comments along this subreddit say

Thus far I've tried turning 1 Valve, interrogating Rothwild, then blowing up the others... Which doesn't work. then I've tried doing 3 Valves, interrogating Rothwild, then blowing up the others... Which doesn't work, advice?
